Axis unveils the P33 series of Network Dome Cameras. The Axis P33 Series of network Dome cameras include a line of IP Dome cameras delivering the latest in advanced Surveillance technology and the most needed attributes for a wide range of applications. The Axis P33 series includes Standard and HDTV (megapixel) versions as well as models in each class featuring indoor and outdoor ready models with Tamper resistant to Vandal resistant ratings on all.
   The Axis P33 Series Delivers Superior image quality with the Axis P3343, P3343-V and P3343-VE Network Dome Cameras providing SVGA resolution in full 30fps whereas the Axis P3344, Axis P3344-V and Axis P3344-VE boast a impressive 1 Megapixel or 720p HDTV image at up to the same 30fps and in compliance with the SMPTE standard for resolution, color representation and frame rate. All models include a true Day/Night function with Automatic removable IR-Cut Filter, as well as multiple individually configurable video streams of H.264 Compression. Axis ultra-discreet network cameras with innovative design and H.264 compression

LUND, Sweden. – (May 12, 2008) – Axis Communications introduces two ultra-compact ip security camera models, AXIS and AXIS M3014 Fixed Dome Network Cameras that are designed for quick and easy recessed-mount installation and ideal for unobtrusive video surveillance. Multiple H.264 video streams as well as Motion JPEG can be retrieved simultaneously, either in full frame rate or individually optimized for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints.
“Measuring only 9 cm wide and protruding only 3 cm from the ceiling, AXIS M3011/M3014 will be an attractive offer fulfilling the market’s demand for compact and discreet fixed IP dome security cameras,” says Executive Vice President of Axis Communications, Anders Laurin. “The ingenious design of AXIS M3011/M3014 is optimized for quick and easy installation in drop ceilings and they will constitute a strong addition to our new generation of video products, offering high-performance H.264 compression and unique streaming capabilities.”

AXIS M3011 provides VGA resolution video, whereas AXIS M3014 is a 1.3 megapixel network security camera. Both models use progressive scan technology, providing full resolution images of moving objects without distortion, making it possible to view image details needed for identifying individuals and objects of interest. AXIS M3011/M3014 offer multiple video streams that can be individually optimized in H.264 as well as Motion JPEG. MPEG-4 Part 2 is supported for backward compatibility.

The cover ring is available in a range of colors to suit interior design. Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) supplies power to the IP cameras via the network, eliminating the need for power cables and reducing installation costs. In addition, these network security cameras support the market’s most extensive suite of security and network management capabilities, including HTTPS encryption with preserved performance, IPv4/IPv6 and Quality of Service.
